Senior Engineer – Hydraulic

The Role

Provide technical support to the Hydraulic engineering team, delivering high-level technical investigation, design, review, systems development, audit, and advisory services related to all aspects of water and wastewater standards and infrastructure.

• Provide support in Hydraulic engineering discipline matters across the organisation
• Provide the technical support on Safety in Design (SiD) matters for the Hydraulic discipline
• Collaborate with the Principal Engineer to support the technical development of the team
• Ensure Safety in Design process is incorporated into engineering activities

• Tertiary Civil, Mechanical or Hydraulic Engineering qualification
• Relevant experience in water, oil or gas industry
• Experience in the provision of investigation, option, concept, and detailed design of Hydraulic infrastructure associated with the water industry at a high professional level
• Demonstrated experience in auditing of designs prepared by others
• Demonstrated experience in the execution of novel, complex and critical engineering investigations, and designs in the Hydraulic discipline
• Experience in the development and ongoing review of technical and infrastructure standards
• Detailed knowledge of Hydraulic engineering procedures and practices

• Must have a valid current National Police Clearance, Traffic check, Working with Children and/or Working with Vulnerable People
• Must hold a current driver’s licence at all times
• Must have a copy of qualification/accreditation
