Scheduling Officer

Careerlink People Solutions are seeking a Scheduling Officer who will be primarily responsible for ensuring workers are rostered effectively to facilitate the delivery of high-quality. person-centred services to customers, and maintain documentation related to services delivered.

Key Responsibilities
  • To make sure shifts are rostered accurately in the database:
    • In line with funding contracts
    • Within legislative, award and enterprise agreement requirements
    • With a person-centred approach where workers are matched to shifts based on customers need and preference
    • Re-rostering shifts as necessary if the allocated worker is unable to attend
    • Documenting communications and / or decisions
    • Providing on-call support as rostered
    • Responding to pay queries as they arise
  • Ensure all workers are sent written confirmation and instruction relation to shifts the are rostered for
  • Respond to enquiries relating to shift coverage
  • Manage problems that arise, escalating concerns or other feedback as necessary
  • Support the recruitment of new support workers
  • Effective communication, both oral and written, with customers and other members of the public
  • Proficient computer literacy
  • Customer service
  • Ability to work both as part of a team and autonomously
  • Problem solving ability
  • Effective time management
  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • Administrative or clerical roles
  • Delivery of customer service via telephone
  • Background in rostering
  • Experience working with people with disabilities
