Publishing Assistant

Careerlink are seeking experienced individuals for a number of temporary Publishing/Print Room Assistant roles based in Adelaide CBD.

Our client is a long-established organisation who is committed to providing ongoing training and support to their temporary staff.

The Role

We are looking for an experienced and or/qualified Publishing/Print Room Assistant to commence an exciting temporary opportunity with immediate effect, with the potential to be ongoing for the right person.

This role will follow existing processes and guidelines to ensure the delivery of high-quality final products.

We are seeking an energetic self-starter who is able to work as part of a team and under minimal supervision when needed. You must have the ability to respond quickly and professionally to new and changing situations. You will also have demonstrated skills in following instructions, prioritising and multi-tasking in a fast-moving environment.

Key Responsibilities

This role requires someone who is used to working with high volumes, ensuring excellent attention to detail is maintained whilst completing manual tasks in a repetitive environment.

Duties will include but are not limited to:

  • Operation of high-volume printers and scanners
  • Full end to end management of documents, from preparation of the document through to quality management
  • System set up and operation
  • Assist in planning workflow and implementing appropriate actions
  • Ensuring completed publications and printed documents are accurate and distributed in a timely fashion and in accordance with delivery requirements
Skills and Experience
  • Excellent attention to detail in a repetitive environment
  • Demonstrated knowledge of working in a role that requires a multi-skilled approach within a digital print production environment
  • Able to follow procedures and work to a deadline
  • Excellent communication skills with all stakeholders
  • Knowledge of multi-function devices and current computer technology regarding imaging and scanning applications and numerous software applications
Key Requirements
  • MUST be immediately available to commence with no short-term leave requirements
  • MUST be available to work the occasional afternoon shift
  • MUST have a valid current National Police Clearance and current DCSI General Probity Clearance or willing to obtain prior to commencing
