Online Writer

Careerlink People Solutions have partnered with a well-known South Australian government department to find an experienced Online Writer. This position is initially being offered as a 3-month contract, with the possibility for extension.

Key Responsibilities and Experience 
  • Advanced skills in converting complex content into simple, user-focussed web pages written in plain English
  • Experience in applying WCAG 2.1 standards to writing, editing, structuring, maintaining and continuously improving complex web content that complies with relevant accessibility legislation for a large agency
  • Experience working under broad direction and adapting to changing priorities to negotiate and meet deadlines while under pressure to write and edit large volumes of complex and interrelated content
  • Proven ability to apply excellent communication, interpersonal, negotiation and influencing skills to build effective working relationships and provide expert advice, consultation and assistance to management and subject matter experts across the department as it relates to web accessibility, usability, and best practice
