Logistics Officer

Our client located in the Adelaide CBD is seeking a Logistics Officer to provide a reliable and efficient dispatch service for all Laboratory Services customers to ensure all bottles and sampling equipment is delivered to the customer to achieve a high level of customer satisfaction.

This is a temporary role on an initial contract through June 2024.  Please note this role requires availability to work Mondays and Tuesdays from 12pm to 10pm (on a rotation with three other colleagues). 

Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake the dispatch of bottles to customers ensuring that weekly dispatch is completed within set timeframes
  • Log of all dispatch on the computerised courier system and within LIMS
  • Ensure adequate supplies for the function are available at all times
  • As required, provide assistance in duties of the customer laboratory logistics team
  • Contribute to reduction in sample processing times through efficient sample delivery to laboratories
Skills and Experience
  • Highly organised with demonstrated ability to efficiently and effectively manage, prioritise and execute multiple tasks
  • Proven skills of high attention to detail
  • Experience in LIMS and Microsoft office products is desirable
  • Ability to focus on customers’ needs at all times
  • Previous experience in logistics function 
Key Requirements
  • MUST be willing to obtain a valid current National Police Clearance
