Human Resources Administrator

Careerlink People Solutions have partnered with an innovative South Australian Institute to find their next Human Resources Administrator. Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, this position will work closely with the HR team and all staff, students, volunteers, and community partners across the business, as well as providing efficient and confidential administrative support to the Human Resources department. This is a temporary role that may require some out of business hours work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate the on-boarding of new employees and conduct the corporate induction program
  • Coordinate and follow through any relevant employment screening tests results
  • Establish and maintain a Buddy System for new employees
  • Provide administrative support with Visa applications for new starters
  • Maintain an information guide to assist candidates migrating to Australia and assist overseas candidates with all migration related queries
  • Maintain and continuously improve HR onboarding documentation and processes
  • Assist the HR Business Partners with any routine documentation such as employment variation letters, salary increase letters, acknowledgement of resignation etc
  • Work closely with the Payroll Specialist to ensure a timely and accurate information flow
  • Act in a confidential capacity when handing external and internal enquiries
  • Administration of recruitment activities including booking interviews and meeting rooms, and communicating with candidates
  • Maintain and update data as required and in a timely manner
  • Generate reports as requested by the Human Resources team
  • Monitor the HR Mailbox on a daily basis
  • Ensure all queries are responded to and followed-up
  • Participate and provide assistance for numerous Human Resources projects
  • Provide ad-hoc administrative support to the Head of HR & Organisational Development
  • Ensure all duties are performed within the Code of Conduct Policy and maintain one’s health, safety, and welfare
Skills and Experience
  • At least two years’ experience in an administrative role
  • Knowledge and understanding of Human Resources
  • High level of computer competency, with the ability to learn new systems quickly
  • Excellent attention to detail is imperative
  • Able to multi-task, problem solve and learn new tasks with ease
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Highly ethical and confidential
  • Self-driven, strong use of initiative and focused on continuous improvement
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, and written and verbal communication skills
  • A “can do”, customer-focused and flexible attitude and demonstrated ability to work as part of a team
Key Requirements
  • Required to obtain a DCSI General Probity clearance
  • Tertiary qualifications in Business Administration or Human Resources Management desirable (or equivalent experience)
