Customer Advocate & Relations Advisor

Based in the Adelaide CBD, this role will provide specialist advice to resolve complex customer matters and support engagement with Government departments through development of written documentation and responses that enhance the brand.

This is a temporary role on an initial 6-12 month contract.  Training is 100% onsite, with a transition to 2 work from home days per week post training.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure that complaints escalated are handled in an empathetic, timely and tailored manner
  • Ensure responses are consistent with relevant regulations & policy, completed within agreed timeframes and are of a high standard
  • Ensure appropriate outcomes are negotiated and resolution recommendations are made on behalf of the customer 
  • Author researched, considered, accurate and timely Ministerial briefs and correspondence, Cabinet materials and Parliamentary briefs
  • Analyse and interpret detailed information without altering factual content to develop briefings, verbal and written advice
  • Provide decisive, informed guidance around document purpose and content within the business
  • Identify gaps and opportunities for improvement in documents, with an ability to coach others to improve the quality of output
Skills and Experience
  • Tertiary qualifications in policy, communications business, or similar area and/or proven relevant experience
  • Demonstrated ability to meet and manage multiple tasks and deliver within tight deadlines with limited direction and a high degree of autonomy
  • High level of written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to interpret and explain policy and procedures and author well-researched, clear and concise correspondence, briefing notes and reports
  • Demonstrated ability to undertake and report on complex investigations and provide exemplary customer advisory services
  • Ability to liaise effectively with all internal and external stakeholders, service providers and customers
  • Demonstrated ability to author complex documents with limited direction and rework, including reports, Cabinet and Parliamentary documents, customer reports
  • Strong working knowledge of the processes of Government, Cabinet and the Parliament
Key Requirements
  • MUST have a valid current National Police Clearance
