Your role:
As Country Sales Manager – Oceania, you will take responsibility for driving the CLAAS business across Australia and New Zealand, developing strong distribution channels and building key relationships across the region.
Key responsibilities include:
- Drive the sale and distribution of CLAAS agricultural machinery across Australia and New Zealand through CLAAS importers and directly to major customers.
- Develop, strengthen and optimise sales and distribution structures across the assigned markets.
- Act as the central point of contact between CLAAS importers and key functional teams across the global CLAAS business.
- Take ownership of sales performance, profitability and commercial outcomes across Australia and New Zealand.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with importers, dealers, major customers and other key stakeholders.
- Represent CLAAS at industry events, customer functions, sales events and international trade shows.
- Support customers during visits to CLAAS headquarters in Harsewinkel, Germany.
- Develop and maintain relationships across relevant industry and government networks, including authorities and political stakeholders.
- Travel regularly throughout the region and internationally as required.
About you:
You will bring a strong combination of agricultural industry knowledge, commercial capability and relationship-building skills.
Ideally, you will have:
- A degree in Agriculture, Agricultural Engineering, Business Administration or a related discipline.
- At least 3 years of relevant professional experience, ideally within agricultural machinery, equipment or a related sector.
- Strong knowledge of agricultural technology and the CLAAS product portfolio.
- Strong commercial acumen with demonstrated sales and negotiation capability.
- Excellent English communication skills.
- Confidence engaging and negotiating with stakeholders at multiple levels.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to work independently in a geographically dispersed role.
- A collaborative, reliable and flexible approach.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with SAP R/3 experience highly regarded.
- The flexibility and willingness to travel regularly, including occasional extended international stays.
