Business Analyst

We have partnered with an innovative South Australian fintech organisation that services all corners of Australia with operations around the country.

Our client is a market leading asset finance solutions for mortgage brokers and dealerships. With an agile platform and experienced team, they are excited to bring a Business Analyst into the fold who is forward thinking and innovates, documents, and streamlines processes to the business and technical teams.

The Role

The Business Analyst will support the Chief Product Officer and the software development team to create and champion process improvement and documentation. This role will ensure consistency of approach, documentation, and efficiency in the development of key projects, working alongside the software development team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to formulate and document business requirements and processes from beginning to end of a project
  • Identify, investigate, document, and analyse business processes, procedures, and work practices
  • Use project management methodologies to develop project plans and cost, resource and manage projects
  • Develop functional specifications for use by system developers
  • Use data and process modelling techniques to create clear system specifications for the design and development of system software
  • Provide guidance and best practices in the system project decision making process
Skills and Experience
  • Strong knowledge of website functionality, software applications, integrations, project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall), business analytics processes and tools (SQL, Power BI, Tableau)
  • Self-motivated and a great communicator with the ability to inform and influence stakeholders at all levels
  • Demonstrated experience in proposing initiatives that have improved business outcomes
  • A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or another related field
Key Requirements
  • At least five years of experience as a Business Analyst
  • Experience working as a business analyst in large corporate settings
  • Demonstrated skills and experience in business process documentation, requirements gathering, process mapping and information analysis/modelling, planning, design, testing, and system integration
  • Advanced knowledge of programming languages such as SQL and system integration solutions
  • Demonstrated communication skills with diverse stakeholders in technical and business spaces
  • Be a self-learner, creative, idea contributor and motivated team player that is open to feedback
